Single Opening for Business Analyst, Trastar Inc., Richardson TX
Job Duties: Use analytical software to analyze data and prepare Sales Summary Report. Analyze Inventory Aging Report, Inbound & Outbound Report, and Sales Report to prepare Forecast Report for inventory control, market trends, user requirements, and budget. Prepare reports in the following product categories: LED Street Luminaires, LED High Mast Luminaires, LED Traffic Signal Lamps, LED Internally Illuminated Street Name Signs, LED Blank-Out Signs and LED Commercial Lighting products. Communicate with domestic & international partners.
Conduct project management of all TraStar business lines for different product categories. Generate project plan, including timeline, budget estimation, and manpower requirements. Prepare profit & loss model to predict project outcomes and develop a pro forma based on operating trends, market research, and appraisal information. Evaluate project performance by computing Return on Investment (ROI) and building other analytical models.
Develop and implement merchandising strategy and maintain inventory management records. Determine website product listings and pricing and maintain product categories and product series. Conduct customer preference analysis of existing and potential customers, predict/forecast future sales volume and trends, monitor product inventory levels, analyze sales trends, and adjust products.
Research and analyze governmental agency requirements, including State and local Municipalities, industry specification updates, and competitors’ information. Communicate with various State Departments of Transportation and Municipality engineers to obtain product specifications and requirements. Then research their project letting and bidding websites, get new sales opportunities and provide cost-benefit evaluation for various opportunity sources. Participate in trade shows and business conferences to promote TraStar’s products, learn industry updates and collect competitors’ information on product trends, performance, and pricing.
Design a Business Intelligence (BI) system to generate ad-hoc and weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results, trends, PO status, sales summary, and sales opportunities for company operation improvements. Use BI tool to effectively integrate existing raw data and databases (including but not limited to data warehouse, data mart, query report, data analysis, data mining, data backup and recovery). Perform strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis based on internal data & information and evaluate current operation procedures.
Evaluate performance of and redesign the company official website (www.trastarusa.com). Use site analysis tools, such as Google Analytics and HubSpot, to analyze the performance. Adjust website architecture, user interface, content, images, etc., based on analysis results, and do user experience research to achieve the best performance. Generate a website demand analysis report according to the company's current situation, future development goals, and competitor analysis.
Closely monitor daily operations to ensure all processes are operated and controlled properly. Review and analyze daily reports for business operation. Prepare related sales documentation, update PO status, and adjust inventory. Identify and provide solutions to potential and unexpected issues, such as abnormal PO, urgent freight/delivery, and revised requirements, etc.
Develop new business process documents. Communicate with all relevant teams and international partners in China to find out abnormal situations and resolve issues that occurred during product ordering and shipping processes. Operate social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Post company and product information, Q&A, and process engagement with new customers. Bid a social listening tool for monitoring online marketing events to analyze and evaluate marketing performance based on peak value, page view data, review numbers, and page-stay time.
 
Requires: Master’s degree or its equivalent in Finance, Marketing or E-Commerce, plus 2 years experiences as Business Analyst. Or Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Finance, Marketing or E-Commerce, plus 4 years experiences as Business Analyst
 
40 hours work week. 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
